The objective of the Concentrated Systems Strategy (EKS®)
is to apply personal and/or business (economic) forces in a focused, targeted
manner. Wolfgang Mewes, the originator of the EKS, found this to be the
central problem confronting people and businesses. The application of
the EKS in both private and business contexts, operates through the concentration
of available forces and resources on the most effective point. Content Strategy Forum Strategy Forum The Strategy Forum is a combination of firms, employees and self-employed individuals. The society offers a forum for the exchange of experiences and thoughts to devotees and friends of the EKS, or indeed anyone interested in strategic issues. The Strategy Forum assists its members with targeted professional and personal development. The Strategy Forum covers the German-speaking countries comprehensively through over 35 regional groups. In addition, there are participants and interested parties in other European countries and to some extent, users overseas as well. Membership (early 2000) comprises over 2000 men and women, probably making the Strategy Forum the largest grouping of cybernetics devotees. The society is headed by a Management Team (Vorstand) which is controlled by a Supervisory Board (Aufsichtsrat). Apart from the meeting of members, there are regular "central congresses". The objective is to facilitate greater societal efficiency for each member, through organized cooperation and communication. Fundamental to the Strategy Forum is the conviction that the Concentrated Systems Strategy (EKS in short - based on the German name) from Wolfgang Mewes, is the most powerful available aid to achieving both commercial and personal success. For over thirty years, Mewes has analyzed particularly successful enterprises in order to determine why they succeed. This analysis resulted in the EKS theory. Despite dynamic developments in the commercial world, the four basic principles of success synthesized by Mewes, have lost none of their relevance in the new millennium.
Principle 1: Concentrate forces where they have the
most impact and Principle 2: Orient the forces towards a clearly defined target. Principle 3: Go for the gap - concentrate on market niches Principle 4: Develop an in-depth solution to the prevailing problem so as to achieve market leadership.
The Seven-Phase Model The EKS operates though a series of phases. The functional
principles of Phase 1: Analyse own situation and unique strengths The above seven phases also activate a "spiral of success".
